Elementary Spanish Discipline Plan

Dear parents and students here you can find some important information about the Spanish class.

Students Class Rules

1. I will follow the good listener rules: eyes on me, listen, quiet, hands and feet in silence.

2. I will raise my hand for permission to speak.

3. I will stay in my seat and ask for a permission to move in the class.

4. I will respect others Spanish learning process.

5. I will enter and leave the room quietly and work in silence in class.

Notes:

· Gum, food or drinks during the class are not allowed

· Bathroom will be used for emergencies

· No Phones calls will be done, only real emergencies

· For transitions during class a hall pass should be given by the teacher

· Cell phones/pagers/I-Pods/ other technology must be turned off and out of sight and used according to the student manual. The use of Internet should be supervised and authorized by the teacher. The access to Face Book or other social nets are forbidden.

In Spanish I will follow the same homeroom teacher discipline policy from each level. If the student chooses to break the rules will receive two warnings before is given a think sheet in which parents can find out what happened, and what the student will choose to do next time. If the student insists in continuing breaking the rules there will be either a home communication or an office referral.

Office Referral

No warning will be given to a student who is disrespectful to the teacher, refuses to follow instructions, shows an unsafe behavior, do not use good language in English and Spanish, is bullying others and breaks the dress code.

Rewards

  • Praise(daily)
  • Award for good work in Spanish
  • Good grades
  • Fun day every end of a quarter as possible

Grading Criteria: A grade for each student will be compiled per quarter. The areas that will determine the final grade are as follows:

  • Participation in class/Oral Productions
  • Written exercises

· Projects

  • Quiz/Assessments only 4th and 5th grades

Cordially,

Mrs. Joyner

K-5 Spanish Supply List

Dear parents: This is the Spanish Elementary supply list for each Grade and child. Look for your child’s grade, and find out which items is a boy or a girl bringing to school. Mostly all the materials will be shared in class, except for folders or notebooks. Thank you for all your support.

Mrs. Joyner

1. Please label all the supplies with the word Spanish, this will help the homeroom teacher identify the material that belongs to the Spanish class.

2. Folders or notebooks must be labelled with the name of the student, Spanish Class, grade and the name of the classroom teacher.
